We Stand With You as Sponsors, Volunteers, and Fans!

Our commitment to the community goes beyond banking. We believe true prosperity is built when we come together to support one another, empowering local businesses, agricultural producers, families, and individuals to grow and reach new heights. By sponsoring local events, volunteering alongside our neighbors, and cheering loudly from the sidelines, we invest in the future we all share.

Sustainability is at the core of our approach. We understand that lasting prosperity comes from nurturing the communities we serve. Together, we focus on creating opportunities and fostering economic strength to ensure a thriving future for generations to come.

At Prosperity Credit Union, we believe the best investment is a strong community filled with spirit, resilience, and success. Because when our communities succeed, we all prosper.

  1. This summer, the community of Richmound came together for an afternoon and evening of food, games, face painting, live music and more, all in support of the new Richmound Community Greenhouse.

We were proud to present the Village of Richmound with an Empowering Communities Grant during the greenhouse groundbreaking ceremony. The grant helps support community-led projects that create meaningful, lasting impact in the places we call home. This project is a great example of that!

Once complete, the year-round greenhouse will help improve access to fresh, locally grown food while creating a space for people to learn, volunteer and connect. It’s a project built around food security, sustainability and a community working together to make a good idea happen.

As the greenhouse organizers put it: “Richmound is excited to start growing together.”

  4. Meet Jonathan, Manager of Member Service for our Nipawin, White Fox, and Choiceland branches! 👋

Jonathan always enjoys encouraging those around him. His favourite part of the job is supporting an amazing team of frontline staff and staying connected to what's happening across the branches.

Whether he's outside enjoying nature or at home building LEGO sets, Jonathan likes projects that keep him busy. One adventure he's still hoping to check off? Visiting Hobbiton in New Zealand.

Jonathan is also a big believer in getting a head start on your financial future. His advice is to start early. Whether it's opening a TFSA when you're 18 or using a starter credit card responsibly to build credit, those small steps can make a big difference down the road.

Be sure to say hi when you see Jonathan around the branch!

  6. Your credit score can impact more than just credit cards — it can affect renting an apartment, financing a car, and even future loan approvals.

Here are a few smart ways to start building credit after graduation:
    ✔️ Pay bills on time
✔️ Keep credit card balances low
✔️ Avoid applying for too many cards at once
✔️ Use credit consistently — but responsibly
✔️ Check your credit report regularly

Good credit isn’t built overnight, but small habits can make a big difference over time.

  8. Meet Carson McPhail! 👋

Carson loves working at Prosperity because it's a place where people and community come first. Growing up in a small town showed him just how important it is to support your neighbours and local businesses, and that's something he gets to do every day.

When he's not at work, you'll usually find him making the most of the season. Summer means time at the lake, a round of golf, or cheering on the Saskatchewan Roughriders in Regina. Once winter rolls around, he's out on the ice playing rec hockey or curling.

His love of golf doesn't stop at the course. He also collects golf balls from every course he plays while travelling. His collection already features courses from Hawaii, Phoenix, and Banff and Canmore.

His financial advice for young members is simple: if homeownership is in your future, don't wait to open a First Home Savings Account (FHSA). Making the most of an FHSA can help you grow your down payment tax-free while taking advantage of valuable tax savings along the way!
