This summer, our Prosperity team member Madison, had the opportunity to volunteer alongside the North East Early Childhood Intervention Program (NEECIP) at family play days in Shoal Lake and Red Earth First Nations.

NEECIP provides early intervention support to children and families across rural and First Nations communities, helping children build important developmental skills through learning, play and connection.

From serving meals to spending time with children, parents and caregivers, these days were an opportunity to support the meaningful relationships NEECIP continues to build within the communities they serve.

Spending time in the communities we serve helps us build stronger relationships, learn from one another and continue our commitment to Truth and Reconciliation.

A big congratulations to Cody Sutherland on officially earning his Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation! 🎉

Cody first set this goal for himself in the summer of 2023, and reaching it has taken plenty of studying, major assignments, work experience and perseverance along the way.

For Cody, earning his CPA represents following through on a commitment he made to himself and pushing through the moments when the finish line felt a long way away.

We as Prosperity have been proud to support Cody throughout this process with study time, flexibility around major deadlines, and opportunities to gain the experience needed to complete the program.

Now, he’s bringing even more knowledge into his role as Accounting Supervisor while continuing to grow and take on new challenges.

Meet Tasha! 👋

Tasha loves building relationships and helping members and dealer partners find financing solutions that fit their needs. No two days are the same, and she appreciates the teamwork and support shared across Prosperity Credit Union.

Outside of work, you’ll usually find Tasha in her home gym, spending time with her family, hanging out with her dog, Theo, or cheering on her favourite hockey team. She’s always up for a new fitness challenge and enjoys setting strength goals for herself. She and her husband have also built quite the Ottawa Senators collection after he turned her into a devoted Sens fan.

Some buildings are more than just four walls. They’re where a community comes together.

That was especially clear during Prosperity Days in Dinsmore, held at the community hall.

For more than a year, the Village of Dinsmore has been fundraising for much-needed repairs to the hall’s roof and air conditioning units. Through several fundraising events, close to $10,000 was raised to complete half of the roof repairs, with more work still needed to finish the remaining repairs and replace the AC units.

Prosperity Credit Union is proud to contribute $10,000 toward the project. Together with $121 raised during Prosperity Days, a total of $10,121 will go toward supporting the remaining repairs.

Places like the Dinsmore Community Hall are where neighbours gather, milestones are celebrated, memories are made and connections are strengthened. These improvements will help ensure the hall can continue being that gathering place for years to come.

Here’s to many more celebrations and memories made in this special community space!

Our banking system merger takes place September 25–27 as Foam Lake members transition onto Prosperity Credit Union’s banking system.
Digital and Mobile Banking will remain available until 5 pm on Friday, September 25. At that time, services will become temporarily unavailable while we complete the transition.

Already a Prosperity member?

You do not need to make any changes to your account or Digital Banking. We simply recommend planning ahead for the temporary outage:

• Pay bills due September 25–27 a little early, as some payments may be delayed
• While we expect debit card payments to work, have another payment method available, such as cash or a credit card
• INTERAC e-Transfer services will be temporarily impacted

There are important steps you need to take before and after the merger weekend. Your Member Readiness Guide explains how to prepare, what services will be impacted, what will change and how to get started afterward.
